Signs Your Mr-Glass Door Installation Is Failing

• The panel drags or sticks in the track. This usually means the rollers have flattened or the axle has corroded. In Jupiter, we see this within 6-8 years on coastal installations where salt accumulates in the track housing; the MG-200 is especially prone because the roller axle lacks a grease fitting.
• Visible gap at the lock strike or weatherstrip compression. The frame has racked - either the installation anchors have loosened in the subsill or the header has settled. This is structural; adjusting the lock without addressing the frame shift will strip the keeper in two seasons.
• Condensation between glass lites on an insulated unit. The seal has failed. Mr-Glass uses a dual-seal warm-edge spacer; once the primary PIB seal breaches, desiccant saturation happens fast in Florida humidity. The glass pack needs replacement, not defogging.

• Impact-rated panel shows spider cracking at the corner. This is not cosmetic. The laminated interlayer has delaminated from heat cycling, and the panel no longer meets Miami-Dade NOA standards for missile impact. Replacement is required for code compliance and insurance validity.
